Just about keeping my eyes open after a 5:20 start. Headed to the coast for some sunrise pics before going to the Lakes with my parents.

For the sunrise I used a Cokin P Sunrise filter, and for most of the Lake District ones, a circular polariser.

Hope you like them :winky:

Mark.

Went down to Marsden again today, and the sunrise was very nice again.

Here's a few of the pics I took, used my Cokin P sunset filter again.

No editing apart from the last one, where i've taken out a big nasty lens flare, you can maybe spot the patching up on the rocks.

Hope you like them :)

Thanks Mark :) It was difficult deciding which one to go for, but I've opted for No.5

I love how the sun picks out the rocks, and the reflections in the wet sand, in that picture

I find them all very soothing to look at.

Absolutely fantastic :winky:

Can't wait to go up to the Lakes again, hopefully at Easter :)

I attempted a walk in the Dales on Sunday but as luck would have it the weather was atrocious and I was almost blown off the side of Littondale with driving snow!

I've got one of those pics as my desktop background at the moment, and it looks superb. I used to dabble in the odd watercolor painting a few years ago, and these pics have got me seriously

thinking about getting my brushes out again.

I've never thought of asking whether we have any artists among us on Netweather. :)

Yes I agree mate, It's not often that I comment on the pics on this site as there are always so many good ones, but I felt I had to

on this occasion. Like you, I also think that they are the most outstanding pics I've ever seen. They are just so relaxing to look at that I could

sit and stare at them all day. :)

Thank you so much both of you! such high praise!
