Fours seasons in one day! Started out in Eastbourne with a slight frost on the car, then it rained and on the 30 mile journey inland it was a mixture of heavy fog in low lying areas and bright sunshine with blue skies in places.

Well, , it was like a return to winter this morning with dense fog and a frost as the temperature had dipped to 0.7c. The fog lifted into mist, then low cloud and the sun broke through by 09.00 with Cumulus deverloping soon after.

A lovely day at the moment with long sunny spells, fair weather Cumulus, Towering Cumulus and congesting Cumulus with a gentle Easterly breeze. The current temperature is rising at 11.1c and humidity is 68%.

After a sunny start the cloud has built. Looking at the NW radar there is rain pushing up from the south, looks showery tho, so I expect the odd bit over the next few hours.

    Presently 12c

Dull & chilly with an overnight low of 9.3c it's now barely risen to 10.8c.

Some fleeting sunshine, one heavy shower (the best bit!) and plenty of light rain. Be better if it were sunshine & hefty showers...

Sunshine and showers is exactly what we now have in Exeter. No particularly heavy ones as yet, but those cumulus congestus clouds are continuing to tower up towards the "cumulonimbus" stage- could get exciting late afternoon/early evening!

The UKMO/GFS forecast for heavy rain showers hasn't materialised so far. In fact currently the sun is shining brightly over Northampton town. Fair bit of cloud around though.
