Lovely weekend recorded 23C yesterday and 24C today, didnt feel hot at all though dew points were pleasant and there was a refreshing strong easterly breeze, perfect summer weather, i remember last week some were concerned it would feel too hot and nights too warm, well the nights have been very pleasant indeed down to 8C and when the sun goes down the easterly starts to feel chilly.

A shame that next weekend will be completely different with people today wearing t shirts adding another layer with jumpers and even coats coming out of the wardrobe again, i like many others was hoping they would be there for good until September.

Its shocking to think if you go for a late evening walk after 9 pm or an early morning walk next weekend esp in rural areas you might even need gloves

You would have to live in the Mediterranean for that to be a realistic expectation. Even in summer 1976 there were odd wet days, and odd days (especially in the north) where it would not have been warm enough for just a t-shirt, especially in late evening and early morning.

Note the Mediterranean. Even most parts of central Europe get odd cold days and of course they get the odd heavy rainstorm as well.

Another glorious sunny day but with the difference of some scattered fair weather cumulus through the afternoon though still mostly sunny and very warm with a max of 24.7C. Almost too warm as this house seems to easily warm up to the outside temp but really struggle to cool down again for some reason...

Oddly at about 15:20 this afternoon out of nowhere a big gust of wind came through out the front of the house buffeting plants/trees and picked up all the dust/sand and dry grass etc on the lane and hurled it all over a stream and then up over a bank into a field causing a whirlwind type feature as it did so. :unsure: it was mostly calm otherwise.

The temp stayed at around 24C until just after 19:30 this evening until it began dropping away.

Temp also dropped down to 15.5C here in the valley by 22:20 this evening but since then a light breeze has picked up stirring the air and its 18.8C and rising again!
