A very interesting month, June 1791 as it went from early month summer heat to winter snow in parts and back to summer warmth.

The CET up to the 7th of June was 18.5

The CET for the period 11th-16th June was just 10.3

25th-30th June CET: 17.6

The CET ended as 14.7

Here are weather observations from Janet Burnet's diary whilst she lived at Disblair in Aberdeenshire

1st to 6th: warm like summer

6th: a hotter day then has been seen this two years

7th: Some rain, air colder with some frost at night

9th: Cold as winter with skifs of rain and frost at night

10th: Bitter cold with showers of rain

11th/12th: Heavy showers of snow and hail through the whole day but the snow did not lie

13th: Snow and loud wind

Snow was reported further south even in London although it questionable whether it was actually snow or soft hail.

That would be a seriously fun month to live through - although I know many question the validity of very old temperature records. Can you imagine though how frenetic this board would be if in mid June we had snow bookended by two heatwaves?
