Not long back from a fornight on the Isles of Skye and Lewis, blew a hoolie much of the time which was fine for keeping the midges at bay :-)

Nice pix, nice part of the world too!

I managed to make it out to St Kilda Archipelago - 50 miles into the Atlantic from Isle of Lewis - two weeks ago. Most fascinating time. Hope you don't mind me posting a few images from that trip in here - it is a Hebridean Highlight afterall ! smile.gif

Possibly the best part of the UK in terms of nature, along with maybe the North West Highlands <_<

Looks like you had a great time, love part of the Country, been to Skye myself a few years ago whilst on holiday up there.

Delta X-Ray, I'm very jealous of your trip to St Kilda. Always something I've wanted to do, read the books, now I want the t-shirt. You were out there the same week as we were on Lewis, so I'll guess looking at the weather that you headed out there on the Tuesday.......or perhaps the Wednedsday, those were the 2 best days of the week as I remember. If you have any other pics of it, then I'd be delighted to see them!

    Hi WFM

Will post a few more during the weekend.

We arrived at St Kilda on the Friday that week. Boatman said it had been foggy all week out there until the Friday, so we were lucky to get such a glorious day. Even got sunburnt, and you can't say that often about St Kilda! Interestingly, and having kept in touch with the boatman since arriving home, he hasn't been out there since taking us (two weeks now) We were gonna camp there for 3 days, so God knows when we'd have got off - still be there now I guess blink.gif

Here's a few more pix WFM.

It's breath-taking realising Stac an Armin is taller than the Empire States Building - especially at sea level looking up - a memory never to be forgotten!

Ediit: those images are pretty large..need to rescale them. They look better as thumbnails!
