Hi all

as always this morning i have a look at http://www.jerseymet.gov.je/forecast/jersey/flight.htm

because i love their pressure maps and their forecasts which are updated 4 times a day

this morning there is the term COL in purple on the map as well as the red HIGH and blue LOW

Can anyone explain this term please

Hi Blackdown,

'Col' is a slack area of pressure between low and high pressure, (no mans land really) the weather is usually calm and fair in winter, foggy, can be thundery during summer months.
