A vigorous low tracked across Ireland and northern England on the 3rd of December 1909 bringing severe gales along its southern and western flank. The depression recorded a central pressure of 948mb at its peak.

Some reports

Hampstead: Remarkable gale. The strong wind blew in windows, upset carts...

London: A good deal of damage was done in various parts of London, several shop windows blown in and many chimneys blown down.

Bulmer Lodge: Violent gale in night, some trees blown down.~Edington: A severe SW to W gale passed up the Bristol Channel, causing several shipwrecks.

Whitney-on-Wye: The river Wye was in flood, the greatest for many years.

Chelford: Trees were blown down and streams much flooded.

Here's a website about the SS Ellan Vannin which sank in the Irish Sea with the loss of all hands as a result of this storm.
