We've been involved in nearly every event but incredibly have one of the lowest snow depths because every time the PPN has just skimmed us. I should update my sig because we now have about 1 3/4 inches.

I blame the radars, clearly trying to deflect snow and keep us off it's hillside with our sledges!

I told you before earlier that you need to get a specialist team in to monitor why it's the most snowless, stormless and eventless place in the UK.

Lived in Celeborn street for 15 years and had practically nothing, sat and watched the radar for years watching snow fizzle out or turn to sleet over that hell hole.

Definitely wants a beast south-easter to get a pasting

I actually reckon you could do quite well from this cold spell - typical since I moved Jan 09.

Good luck to woodham. . . and Asda

Just checked the NMM, NAE, GFS and they are all saying the same for tomorrow.

A more organised band of snow showers will reach Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk, Kent during late morning and this band will spread W across much of the region during the afternoon. The heaviest of these will be for E parts of this region with the showers probably becoming more scattered further W. During tomorrow night the models indicate the showers will continue with a focus of these across the Wash.

A pretty exciting day by the looks of things.

Soon find out how good the NMM is because the snow showers across NE England are expected to move S and hit Lincs/Cambs in around 2-3hrs.

OMG

Band strengthening out in the Estuary to our NE :D

This is not over for a lot by a long chalk tonight!

And I include N kent in this as well.

Paul S

If you look at the 2345 Radar the band is elongating out to be getting towards Horizontal, this is due to the ENE Just offshore from the Estuary, this could line up places South of the River if it keep its intensity!

Could be a surprise or two in the morning

i fear this band has lost its intensity because there seems to be hardly anything falling in my part of gravesend.

Chucking it down here Chris...just the other side of Riverview PArk

Thnx Steve

BTW What is your take on the wind swinging this around to a more horizontal East to West axis to include your location in the early hours, the wind is swinging more ENE Now here ?

Great pictures. Shown some to a relative of mine who is out of the country in a rather exotic but snowless location. Said she was missing the snow... not that there is much to miss here!

BTW Asda no longer owned by Walmart, alas, so the evil empire must be on hold. Just taken over by some obscure northern company - north foods? something like that.

Hi I'm in Abbey Wood and that's disappointing to hear. We have only had 2cm max at all around here over the past few days. Hopefully Sunday will be better.

UNBELIEVEABLE!!

Thought is was all dying out but comming down heavy again in Felixstowe!!!

Bodes well for anyone further south!!

Going to reach a foot of snow soon (25cm currently!!), and am really worried i'm not going to get out of my road without a snow plough clearing it first!!

We are right on the northern periphery of it...if the wind swings a few degrees East we'll be in the middle.

Yay, the cavalry has arrived! It has started SNOWING in Shoebury ;):D

Well not so much the cavalry as a lame pony, as the flakes are small. But getting heavier as I type. Over to you, Shrimpy...
