Big storm here this morning at about 05:00 - 06:00 AM.

Heavy rain with very high winds, I did not see any lightning though.

It felt like the back edge of a cold front.

Very strong winds.

Tim B, I'm sure I had the cold front come through here between 1200-1300 like you had first thing.

Lashing rain and wind gusts of perhaps 60mph followed by a straight line of cloud and bright blue sky edging in now.

Squall line passed through here at 13:50-14:00 with some very strong gusts of wind up to 63MPH accomanpied by some very heavy rainfall indeed which reduced visability when driving down to virtually nothing.

Quite a climatic day in Lancaster.

The morning was very drab weather-wise, but the winds were very strong indeed- possibly up to 60mph.

The afternoon, though, was the main source of excitement, with hail, sleet and snow showers firing in. A large hailstorm from a pitch-black cumulonimbus practically flooded the University campus.

The front moved through here at about 1pm with some big showers embeded in the back edge.Heavy rain with strong wind and rotation starting at the cloud base.Didn't develop any further though.
