    Rainfall totals at Brisbane, Australia for the period 31st January to 3rd February 1893 amounted to 77.3 inches

    Jan 31st: 10.8"

    Feb 1st: 20.0"

    Feb 2nd: 35.7"

    Feb 3rd: 10.8"

    Unsurprising there was severe flooding in Brisbane caused by the cyclone.

    That's amazing, I think I'm right in saying that's about what the wettest places in the UK get in a whole year!

    Here in the Pennine Rainshadow it would take 3-4 years to reach that amount.
