Good grief! that was quite a show of hailstorms, with a bit of a jacuzzi effect happening in the swimming pool (lol). Must agree, too, that I wouldn't want to see a hailstones that big, unless watching it from inside. Though even then, the thought of watching hail that big would still make me a bit jittery worrying that the hailstones might try and break in. smile.gif

We have driven in hail that large a few times on our storm chases in the plains over the lest few years - taken a few baseballs, certainly gets the adrenaline pumping and there's been a few times when I've held up my fleece against the side window in case the window blows out. As for the dents, lost count of them at the end of a chase.

Must be very satisfying encountering large hail like that on the various storms chases, knowing that you have braved through the intense precipitation, the high winds, the tornadoes and other elements that make up these spectacular storms. Although kinda scary for me, I think taking risks like that to see everying these storms offer is worth it. Yeah, imagine that the cars do take a bit of a beating from them, though.

Maybe if I have the confidence, I might try going on one of these storm chases sometime. biggrin.gif

That happened when Tour 2 was out there, we were further south at the time but saw the supercell on the Barons radar, Oklahoma City took a direct hit.

Paul showed us the pool video I think the next night, it's jawdropping!
