this was the craziest storm i think ive seen, some pretty decent videos I just wish i was there on the 4th August 2008! but those sirens give me nightmares they are very scary sounding!

the sirens are Federal Signal Modulators in Alternate Wail mode! awsome! smile.gif

Wow, that is one wierd warning siren! The only time I've ever heard such a siren was an Avalanche siren in a valley town in Italy because of high levels of snow that was already on the ground, and more snow as going to fall the next morning. (Feb 2009) The funny thing was that the locals were perfectly fine in the hotel bar and drinking away!

Very cool. Makes sure you KNOW! what the sound is for.

I dont understand why they all have different sounds from state to state though..

Some use the alternate wail mode and others don't..

Odd.
