Us Grlevel3 Storms

when i have time and see somthing of interest i will post screen shots from GRLevel3 on hear,

last nights screenshot lots of reported tornado sightings the magenta boxes are tornado warnings boxes the radar station location is at top left of image

one i done last night it has a good hook 3 x TVS (tornado vortex signature) and a meso (mesocyclone) in the hook this was aprox 6.15pm in the US the radar was KUEX Hastings in Nebraska the storm cell was over the state border in Kansas to the south this storm was Tornado warned. There were several spotter reported tornados and funnels also large hail and strong thunderstorm related wind events last night.

Always nice to see what a Storm looks like in relation to the radar representation.

Roll on 2011 - Not gunna get any Storms in the Uk this year :80::cray:

lovely structure....

Oneday would be best to stay out there for all Summer...May to the end of July....

yes a 3month chase...

something I have to do...and while im at it get a false usa passport :cray:

Maybe save up for it :80:

a tornado warned supercell on the canadian - montana border

the first image is the base reflectivity

2nd is the base velocity showing wind direction this one you can see the possible tornado quite clearly in centre

the 3rd is vertical liquid wich is used to show hail potential

update checking out the time line there where 2 tornadic supercells one of which put down a large long track tornado which caused a lot of damage all be it a wheat growing sparsely populated rural area sadly 2 reported deaths and first reports indicate it may be rated as high as an EF4 ground surveys yet to be completed

may have been the above cell after i recorded it on GRLevel3

confirmed damage looks to be EF 3
