Huge Hail... A Record..?

    I'm not so sure its a record as i think that still stands for the 7" (18.75" circumference) hail that smashed Aurora Nebraska in 2003 but seems this is pretty close as these stones were 6-7" and a circumference of 18.5". Either way that must have been one hell of a storm and extremely terrifying.

    Confirmed by NWS ABR: Hailstone that fell in Vivian, SD Friday officially largest ever in the US. 8" diameter.

    so it was the largest ever hailstone ever to fall on us soil!! wow!!
