The latest radar seems to have gone 'walk-about' but the 0800 must have made you smile slightly TM?

Rain band was not meant to be this far north west. Should be east more. Oh well, I win a tenner - Cheers Walkers!

Grinning from ear to ear, John. Just over 37 mm on Friday and another 10.4mm up to 0800 g.m.t today, unless it was all snow it couldn't be much better.

not quite like that here, the torrential downpour has eased to light rain and drizzle. No wonder a good many local roads are at least tempo flooded, my wx station showed it falling at the rate of 128.00mm at 1428!

total so far today since 00BST=19.8mm so many will have had well over 25mm perhaps some with 30mm in this area.Extra suggested 6mm on the Sat 12z run!

Yep saw a bit of flooding round here earlier John, this did catch me by surprise as it was forecast to be well southeast of here. Just before bed last night I did wonder whether a shift in the path of the system had occured as the radar was showing some very bright returns down to the southwest which didn't really tally with any of the forecast maps- i.e the rain was showing up much earlier and further west than forecast.

well its finally, I think!, stopped raining, my gauge shows 21.0mm, so many will have had 30mm+ in this area, roads flooded for a time, not sure when this area got 1 inch or more in a 15 hour period.
