If I cant go for the Isle of Man, then Anglesey can also be discounted as that is also a Island. Can't have one rule without the other for fair reason.

Not sure officially, I think Paul is keeping the log.

I have seen 60mph from Loftus at 8.00am: http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/ne/loftus_latest_weather.html

Anglesey is a well known island less than a mile from mainland Wales (Caernarfon and Y Felinheli)

Anglesey is one of my favourite places, it's not in the middle of the sea so there is no reason why people should be not allowed it.

Anglesey is part of the UK; the Isle of Man isn't.

I put together a list of all the guesses, from across the UK (set as the limit of entries for this competition by the people who are running it)

This is in gust speed order, and in some cases where a person put Anglesey I have assumed they mean Valley.

There are a couple of guesses set out below the main list that do not fall into the critira for the comp (a UK met office station) Its up to the people running this weather they are counted or not.

I had much speare time this AM to do this, and when each gust recorded and approved, guesses can be knocked off the list… Hope this helps and not treading on toes, but gives us all an idea of where we sit in terms of our guesses!

Cheers

I think the guesses for the IOM will be counted. TBH there is a Metoffice station at Ronaldsway and I *think* from what Paul said, the IOM would be counted- if not then it is splitting hairs of the highest order.

Well that's just my thoughts. No-one said last night before the close of the competition that the IOM couldn't be used (well none of the rule makers anyway) and with so many guesses for the IOM, if it is not valid, people should have been made fully aware of this before the midnight closing time of the competition. So yeah, my guess is that the location will be valid. It may not even matter in the end though!
