Chase 2011 - Day 6 Discussion

Everyone here is salivating at the prospects of a possible 5 day Outbreak from Sunday to Thursday but before all that we have a marginal chase day today (Thur) and a See Text Risk over SW Missouri. Am expecting numerous Thunderstorms to break out around the 22z timeframe and our chase target is between Springfield and Joplin to get onto anything that initiates and move South Eastwards, hoping for some marginal hail and good old fashioned thunder and lightning today.

Good old thunder and lightning is a lot better than you've had recently, nothing since day one..!! Looking foward to the 'outbreak' next week and looking in very favourable chase terrain too and a chance of a strong tornado or two.. In the meantime we over here in Blighty are looking forward to a week or so of good old thunder and lightning with a chance of a spin-up somewhere..ha ha..

The team are hoping to chase some storms today - although they'll not be huge it'll still be impressive by UK standards!

Streams down at the moment here but did see you's in the car park.. Incidentally another EF5 confirmed in Mississippi on the 27th thats the 3rd so far and apparently it scoured a two foot trench in the ground..!!!
