The 3rd consecutive warm May, this was the warmest of the three with a CET of 13.5C. It was also a dry May with England, Wales and Scotland recording 41% of the May average rainfall whilst Ireland with 120%

Camden Square: 19%

Arundel: 17%

Oxford: 33%

Ross-on-Wye: 16%

Southport: 52%

Hull: 42%

Cardiff: 35%

Llandudno: 59%

Cargen: 35%

Glasgow: 21%

Aberdeen: 22%

Glanmire: 197%

Killarney: 116%

Waterford: 164%

Omagh: 69%

The 13th and 14th were particulalry wet days for parts of Ireland.

Another feature was that humidity levels were pretty low on a numerous days, Eskdalemuir recorded 6 days with levels below 30%

CET wise, May 1919 was only 0.4C cooler than the following July
