More grey muck today, but this time it's not built-up Sc/Cu but mid-level haze that's appeared from somewhere, has got stuck right over us, and is refusing to shift even though I can see blue sky to the W and the SE is sunny according to the pics.

If only it would either burn off or blow away it could easily be in the 20s this afternoon....

Indeed the Satellite shows it at its very thickest over Shropshire, its spreading to other regions now to but those had sunshine this morning.

It amazes me how West and North Wales can be sunny in this setup yet this seemingly random area of cloud plagues us

After the first decent day since 4th May yesterday today has been back to what weve been used to this month.

A sunny start changed to mid level cloud just before 8am and there has been no sunshine since whatsoever, not even after 5pm, cloudy skies all day with blue sky to the North never far away but never reaching here, if you dont believe me look at the satellite loop and put a map of shropshire over it, whilst almost everywhere got cloud at some point today only over Shropshire has one area of cloud merged with another to keep overcast conditions the whole day (reminds me of many other instances this year such as 6th April when most basked early record warmth whilst slate grey skies plagued here).

This month is up there with ghastly months such as July 2010 as being exceptionally regionalist  my new word, not only did we miss out on the storms early in the month (we did by 10 miles or so in April to) but it will never be understood by anyone outside the region how it could of been a poor month as its been generally above average and the perfect first 4 days with their unbroken sunshine have alos made it average in terms of sunshine despite bar yesterday the sunshine only coming between 5-8am and just before sunset if at all.
