It was abit drizzly this morning, but now it's just cloudy and dry. A bit boring really.

The morning was grim with extensive Stratocumulus, hill fog and thick drizzle.

The sky has slowly brightened in the last few hours with some sunny spells breaking through.

It's very humid at 83% and the temperature is 19.6c!

Dry and mostly cloudy at Cleadon, a lot of lenticular cloud in the lee of the Pennines, and clear skies out to the west. Maximum temperature 20.5C, at a time when there was no sunshine, highlighting the warm airmass. A quite spectacular, though short-lived, sunset this evening.

I'm in disagreement with the TV forecasters (both ITV and BBC) for tomorrow- they say that tomorrow afternoon & evening will be dry and sunny and 21-23C once the front clears away. I agree with the 21-23C, but think that after a 2-3 hour dry sunny window, showers will spread from the SW in late afternoon and evening. It remains to be seen who will be right!

No sun at all here despite patches of blue appearing (although we did get some sun yesterday). Not much brightness either meaning a muggy, rather stultifying day. Literally under the weather here as I now have a virus thanks to the wram damp weather which viruses love.
