Some very windy conditions here today too.. especially during one shower when it went absolutely insane.

Monday was much windier here than yesterday, 75mph gust which was the highest for some time.

Some very windy conditions here today too.. especially during one shower when it went absolutely insane.

The forecasts did say there could be some lively squalls with any showers with gusts still around 50-60mph in some parts! But I think in general Monday was the windyist day, it certainly was here with 44mph, yesterday the most we got was about 30mph.

Indeed it was.

I recorded 56mph last night on the beach in Crosby!

I suspect that a small area across the Liverpool Bay through to Hull may have stronger winds for a period due to the bunching of isobars as a short wave off the main depression passed through to the north of these regions.
