This morning was cloudy and showery with nothing particularly heavy, however the NW radar shows that approximately

10 miles away there was 3 times as much rain overnight and through the morning.

The afternoon became increasingly sunny but not very warm with a maximum of 15.5c on a NW breeze.

Partly cloudy now, 12.8c with 80% humidity.

Frequent and sometimes quite heavy showers for most of the day until about 3pm, giving 12.6mm according to the station. Quite cool as well with a max of 15.4C and feeling pretty cool much of the time as it became rather breezy. There was some sunny spells too. I was about to look through my records to see when it was the coldest max since but then I remembered that both July and August had colder days.

The fog cleared around 0900 g.m.t and the rest of the morning was dry with sunny intervals. Showers developed by early afternoon but these were mostly brief and light until the heaviest one of the day between 1750 and 1815 g.m.t.

Frequent heavy and prolonged showers last night and this morning, very heavy at times.

Showers less frequent into the afternoon but still very heavy at times, and with a few sunny intervals.

Mostly dry after 1500, with some sunny spells. Cool and windy (NNW).
