An unlikely 'freak' cold morning this morning. Despite cloud cover, a light breeze and a mild airstream, the temperature dropped to 9.5C, and in some cases over the water in Liverpool dropped to 6-7C. There was no apparent reason for this drop in temperature, certainly weren't any inversions present.

Currently 11.2C, and it's really going to struggle to reach the suggested maximum of 15C today. I'd suggest more along the lines of 12C, followed by another single figure minimum tonight.

I'm at a loss to why it would drop that far, fascinating stuff.

Hello to all : Orly Airport near Paris: 1024.4 mb

Lowest 10.4c just before 8 am ( was still 14c1 at one am ) at 10 am it was 12.2c but rising quite nicely . It was foggy this morning leaving a clear sky for an hour or 2 and now the clouds are back again..

Should be arounf 16c today for top temp.Dull weather exept that it is mild.This should be the same for a few days with very mild temps.

Clear for a time last night and the temperature fell to 2.8c with another widespread ground frost forming. Low 2.8c with –3.6c on the grass. Cloud increased from around 02:00 GMT and the temperature recovered to 7.9c by dawn. Bright with hazy sunny spells to observation. Cloud increased by late morning and produced showers which continued through the afternoon and in to the evening. Some were moderate. Mild temperature wise, though feeling cool in the brisk sw wind.

It's been a superb day here for the time of year- not only has the temperature reached 18C but it's also been bright/sunny for most of the afternoon. It felt almost summer-like when I went out earlier. The wind is fairly light and the air certainly has a balmy feel to it.

there was a good few hours of bright sunshine!
