Cold winter what cold winter?

Not looking good...

UK Outlook for Tuesday 15 Nov 2011 to Tuesday 29 Nov 2011:

Unsettled weather is likely to continue with a generally mild west to southwesterly winds for much of the period. These will bring in bands of rain interspersed with some drier and brighter weather. Temperatures are likely to be around average for the time of year. Rainfall for this period is also likely to be around normal but southwest Wales and parts of southern England could see above average amounts. Sunshine values should be around average but could be above average for Scotland and eastern parts of England. There is likely to be some mist and fog overnight with a risk of frost.

Currently sunny, not a cloud in the sky. My temperatures were very similar to yours Stephen, once that band of rain passed through, the skies cleared.

Min = 6.0C

Currently = 11.1C.

Edit: That min seems wrong, unsure of the actual min, I think I forgot to reset the min/max on my station.

6.0C seems a little low. Most of the stations in Merseyside and Cheshire were recording 9.0 to 9.8C this morning with the odd 8C thrown in, but no lower than that.

Ealy cloud cleared as the sun rose and so far it's been a beautiful day with long sunny spells and scattered Cumulus, however there is currently a sharp shower very nearby which may prevent a dry day.

12.5c now, max so far 13.2c, humidity 85%.

Turning out to be a fantastic end to the afternoon and in complete contrast to the wet weather this morning. Brilliant blue sky and lovely sunshine streaming through the office windows - not at all like the first day of November

Yes coast- you don't usually get to sum up the first day of November by blue sunshine, patchy cloud and a high of 13c, but today here you could!

10.5c and falling under clear skies.

A mainly sunny day with just one light shower. Now clear blue skies with the cresent moon looking at me.

Could be cool tonight if the cloud holds off for a while.

The max was only around 13C. I'm not at home atm, I'll check later. :)

It feels normal to say the max was 'only' 13C. Especially when it's about 3c above the early November average. Shows how exceptionally mild recent days and weeks have been.
