Does anyone else have the feeling that we're going to miss out on the storm later this week? What with France being on alert and the met office hedging their bets I can't see us getting so much as a sniff of a gale :-(

Very high winds here, frequently gusting into the 40's, even had a gust of 50mph. :D

Temperature is 5.2C and it feels bitter under clear skies. Had 0.0mm rain today. No precip what so ever. Damn. :(

Dewpoint is -1.2C.

Aye, almost 800 members online. You think it's busy now, just wait till it starts to snow.

4.9C here, going up slowly but should fall sharply later on as the winds ease.

DP is -1.2C, falling sharply, we also have a sub-zero wind chill. :D

Winds haven't reached my parts yet. Quite still actually, and lengthly clear spells with occasional cloud cover. Seems quite breezy in coastal areas though going by http://www.xcweather.co.uk/

Winds have already peaked.

Well i just loked at 12z NAE model and thats a big fat no to the NW chances of anything so manc airport clearly don't rate that model!!

NAE has been performing VERY badly this month.

Is that usually a reliable forecast or not because i cant see it happening, best chance was the last 12 hours IMO.

I really cannot decide whether this model is any good or not, its either bang on the money or way out, there doesnt seem to be any inbetween which i guess answers my own question with a firm NO, anyone else got any views and also as a matter of interest, how good is the NMM and is subscribing to Netweather the only way you can get it?

Had a rain shower before so snow is unlikely near the coast.
