Blackdown Hills Snow

On Tuesday I had the afternoon off, and we decided to go to Narnia, aka the Blackdown Hills, to look for some decent snow and get some pictures, and I was quite pleased with what I found, with there being 2-3 inches lying and a surprisingly nice amount on the trees that hadn't blown or melted off.

We ended up near/at Staple Hill, which is the highest point on the hills reaching an altitude of 315m. The hills were just high enough as it seemed that about 50-100m lower down there was far less snow on the trees and in general.

Here are some of the better pictures I took. Enjoy :)

It's tempting to go back this week while it's sunny and probably sub-zero maxima, though I'm not sure I'll be able too, but I got some nice pics and have finally seen snow this winter. :)

Second one is particularly nice, you can see the thinner branches really going down.

To get maximum tree cover it needs to start slightly wet and sticky
