With driving drizzle for Wildwood...

How galling would it be to be one side of the M1 with rain whilst your buddies across the motorway get buried...

Good to see you back on forum! bbc gives us all snow heavy snow at 3pm, just updated

I'd be able to watch it happen, I can see Bolsover from my house.

Here's what I think.

West of the M5...snow to rain and 3-5cm of snow.

Between M5/M6 corridor and the M1 more in the way of snow and maybe a bit more accumulation. Chance of a change over to rain near the end...but it won't be huge.

East of the M1 will see all snow with the possibility of some localised large accumulations.

What about the people that live near the M1 i.e within 3 miles

I love how motorways are used to judge the borders of different kinds of weather. When they say "north of the M4" I just about scrape it by a mile

What temps are people currently recording? The colder the better tonight, helps entrench the cold for the big event tomorrow :)

Currently -4.1 here in Knowle, and falling fast

OK, I'll try railway lines:

Snow to rain west of the West Coast main line. Mainly snow between the west coast main line and midland mainline and a large swathe of alcoholics on the Snow Hill lines!

Things you'll need with you tomorrow for snowflake hunting...

> A radar

> A weather forecast

> A torch, and/or lamp post (for when it gets dark)

> A camera (optional)

> A hammer (to break away your snowshield)

> Binoculars

> Warm Winter clothing

> Your vision

> A burger and chip takeaway

:D

LOL! Do we need a Michael Fish or would that result in 'A woman in Leicester has said there's a blizzard on the way, don't worry there isn't' ? :whistling:
