Lovely views here in the Wisbech area this morning, around an inch and half of fresh snow covering up all the melted bits from the 6-7 inches received saturday night, been a good two weeks of some hard frosts and snow, after missing out on the snow last winter really happy with this especially after a mild first half to the winter.

The freezing rain and ice pellets of yesterday afternoon and evening eventually gave way to intermittent light snow from about 2000 but there was only just enough to whiten any bare patches where last weekend's snow had thawed or blown away.

Currently overcast and misty with everything covered in 5-7 mm of clear ice and a thin coating of rime on that after earlier freezing fog.
