getting quite stormy and black clouds gathering here and odds of snow is certainly 25-1 this time rather than 120-1 yesterday. :D

KEEP IT UP!! I might even glad by morning.

Sleet in Leeds centre, though majority rain.

To be expected though, if its only marginal in Leeds City centre, which is much further North, its going to be a while yet before it turns to snow, if at all of course.

And looking at the radar, i think it will stop first before the main band hits around 11pm

Dew point almost below freezing here, so it's now just a game of wait and see, will all that precipitation move here or will it just fizzle out into nothing?

Started of as light rain here. The band doesn't look like reaching Leeds for a few hours, the area North Leeds is currently under looks to be a rogue area that just happened to spread south, its loosing intensity now so unlikely to see much in the way of snow over central Leeds due to lack of intensity.

I think that report was from Leeds city centre not Summer Blizzard's 'home'.

Can certainly vouch that is is snowing heavily in Pudsey near him at 185m asl.

Sticking to grass, cars etc.

Strong gusty NE wind hammerin the back of my conservatory as I sit in there looking at the patio I sunbathed on less than 1 week ago.....

starting to settle on all surfaces now! cant believe its still snowing though, it has for about 4 hours now, the most i expected today was sleet.

Just to confirm - it's snowing in coastal Cumbria?

Very encouraging. (*jinx over*)

Apparently there's about 1cm in upper Borrowdale this evening. Still nothing lying here and it is much lighter now, although the temperature is hovering around 0C.
