After our little gamble in Colorado I knew that the Moderate Risk was off the cards but seeing as we need to be near NE Kansas for Friday we ambled over to Topeka from Lamar. I knew the boundary would continue to back build down the line from Wisconsin into Kansas and so it played out that when we got to Topeka an absolute beast of a Supercell was crawling along to our South near Ottowa (Kansas) I have seen other pictures from the east of this and it was a HP Beast of a Supercell (See Dave Lewison or google him) and you should find the picture from the other side.

We pictured it from the West and it had a pronounced Overshooting Top and Back Sheared Anvil viewed from the West.

Lovely view to keep us entertained along I-70.

Regards

Paul S

What a beast of a storm, and to come in from the West at sunset, bit of a treat for a travel day!

Was a fantastic view and kept us entertained during a fairly boring drive because someone robbed the FM radio antenna from our car and wont give it back. Tom!!!!

One pic of the anvil from me....

Yes was nice to watch as we travelling towards it. Lightning shots were not possible because it was obscured by low clouds
