Meto Forecast For April - June

I hadn't seen this before until today - turned out to be an abysmal forecast!

Oh dear! They do actually mention some models hinting that the jet may move south, they should've paid more heed to this!

Yes, the CFS long range forecast maps were remarkable in that they picked out the general trend of the weather so far this summer as far back as late winter, and were consistent with it throughout the spring.

I also notice that the latest maps have radically changed the precipitation forecast for August from wet over the Midlands and southern England and dry over northern and western Scotland to the exact opposite.

However, I do have a query regarding these maps in that, for any given month, they seem to change as the month progresses to reflect the precipitaton anomaly expected for the remainder of the month, rather than the month as a whole.
