We are playing Colchester united in the FA Cup on Saturday and I do not fancy a weather repeat to what we endured a few days ago.

I understand that several of Steve C's mates are going but he is to content himself by trying out the local pubs rather than attend the game. Steve whatever you do dont go to the Red Beret!

What is wrong with the Red Beret ?

Hopefully SteveC will take some advice from me as to where to drink if he makes the away trip to the forthcoming game against the MK Dons !

It's clouded over here this afternoon but I did get a good walk and a pub lunch in while it was still reasonably nice, ended up over at Bancroft so actually got to see the skeleton cows in person...

Lol looks wild, i remeber one night in the 80s my sis took us to local display but it was really thick fog, thus every rocket just went up and vanished!

Just watching the American coverage of Sandy, its just so different to our presenters and how they react to stuff! One guy has just realised the bridges connecting new Jersey to New York are closing before he finishes his news broadcast so he is stuck in the studio!

hahahahh!!!! this made me giggle I am doing mine Saturday night, hopefully a brief lul in the storms I remember once, I was in Uxbridge at my grandads house and my dad spent about £500 on fireworks..So no little ones..We lite this rocket it went up about 10 feet a big old gust came along and blew it straight down next door next to the neighbor who was out tieing down his furniture and it blew up..Needless to say the laughter was swiftly followed by sighs of relief when we saw him shout "im okay"

GFS 06z pushes Friday afternoons storm a little further south with the strongest winds effecting the south coast, Kent, Essex, Suffolk & Norfolk. Will be interesting to see where the 12z places the low.

Lovely sunny one here, hopefully it will stay like it for a while or at least long enough for me to get out for some fresh air and try to clear my head, I think I watched a bit too much TV last night staying up to see the coverage of hurricane sandy - had voices in my head all night, not good

Eastbourne had a power cut at 3.32 am and the noise of the house alarms going off for miles around must have woken everybody. There will be some long faces in town this morning.

Oh dear what caused that, can't have been Sandy not unless Eastbourne has moved to the east coast of the US!

I think I was probably awake at that time anyway so it wouldn't have made much difference to me

Front and convection brining rain and possible thunder along the Channel coast during early Thursday then high winds and gusts early doors Friday - very interesting potential couple of days!!
