Dry and sunny at Sandhutton, some showers visible to the north-east coming in off the North Sea, which will probably pass just to the east of here. Temperature of 2.4C following an overnight minimum of 0.1C with a white ground frost. Yesterday got no higher than 2.6C which is lower than I recorded in the first half of November at Cleadon (Tyne and Wear) in 19 years of records- it does seem that inland N Yorks is more prone to notably low temperatures.

A cloudy start to the night with an onshore breeze which kept it pretty mild with a temperature of 6.1C at midnight. The wind then died down to just a light north-westerly breeze which saw it plummet by over 4 degrees in less than 2 hours. Under clear skies the minimum was eventually 1.2C with another heavy ground frost. Still no air frost yet this autumn though.

At present it is partly cloudy with sunny spells and convective shower clouds to the north and east but remaining dry for the moment.

    Currently 8.5C and 83% humidity.

A low of 0.1C to start meaning we missed out on the second air frost of the season. We did however get a ground frost. :)

Unbroken sunshine all day with the sky a lovely Azores Blue. Frosty tonight before cloud rolls in before dawn. Not bad. :D
