0.6c here now

Has it gone down in the last hour? Don't have a weather station here so am relying on the met office latest temps.

Is the current (ghost?) front moving over west London now THE front that's supposed to believing the goods tomorrow?

Secondly, is there any agreement at what time it is expected to make its way to the region? Got a 2 hour drive from Clacton back to my home in Medway tomorrow morning.

Nooooo :) the front thats giving much of the UK snow tomorrow is off to the south west of the UK now :D

I think those in the south (Kent, E.Sussex) shouldnt be so excited.

I dont want to spoil your fun, but surface temps tomorrow are predicted to be up to 4 degrees.

With how mild it got today, I feel there is warm sector at play (again!)

So snow might be melting as fast as it falls for many tomorrow -- just a word of caution to the wise tease.gif

I thought we were guaranteed sub zeros and definite snow, though? Not from the charts Ive been lookin at

(on this thread and on the models thread)

Its always worrying when people start on about "this ones for the bin" etc.

It means it doesnt forecast what they want, thats all!

Hahahah! Let's see who bites on this! Hilarious.

North Kent made 2c today with dew point -1 all day here, I have ice n frost all day plus a few icicles holding and growing since yesterday !

I highly doubt we will see rain ! So long as dew point remains 0 or below we should be sorted !

Stay safe all x

METO going for snowfall only including the extreme coastal areas in the eastern half of the country (yellow warning now covering coastal fringes). No chance of rain/sleet in our neck of the woods now due to low dp and air temps, as confirmed by S Murr.

One for Steve. At T108 GFS has snow forecast but the dewpoints are between 1-3 above. Could that still be snow?

The other forums both split as to rain or snow.

Thanks

Currently:

Temp. 0.5c

DP. - 3c

According to radar we should be seeing some action but nothing yet. Think I might be on leading edge and as precipitation is light it's evaporating before it reaches the ground. Will keep you posted of anything more significant.....

Why is the damn thing stalling over West London? Should be pushing further in than this?

Still, mustn't complain. Anything similar in the last 15 years and even this weak band would've knocked the cold to the east out of the park, and even those in Essex/ Kent would be bemoaning the rain by now.

Appreciate it's not our region, but the PPN in Leicester down to Northampton will start to play havoc on the M1 shortly.
