Luton has done very well, heavy snow on friday and considering that today the risk was that it was too far west, good stuff :-)

Really have done very well! Dread to think what work is gona be like tomorrow tho! Some people's driving is bad enough on a day with the sun splitting the trees lol :)

It hasn't stopped snowing since 3pm, and now it's snowing heavier than it has all day. I have one hell of a journey to work tomorrow. Goodnight, and stay safe.

It's eased down to light snow here, get the feeling that won't last long. Might pop out and go for a walk :)

Really looking at tuesdays event, western parts of this region could see yet another 5cm but the NAE is chopping and changing quite a lot

Radar shows it has passed me but it is still coming down. That's just over 14 hours of continuous snow. Had a great afternoon in Verulaniumumum Park in St Albans dodging the tiny tots (and their Daddies) as they got out of control on their sledges. Probably a good thing it has, mostly, been fine flakes as there are a lot of older people in my village and it is going to be difficult enough for them tomorrow as it is. A good snow day!

I think it would be very unlikely if i see that again! Over 14 hrs continuous snow is quite simply amazing! Never heavy but never let up. Nearly 6 inches now. A one off. Incredible.

Snow day tomorrow too. Don't get many of them. No one can say in this part of the world that 2013 didn't deliver! When is the next load coming lol

Temp -1.5C now. Snow has practically stopped after falling non-stop since before 09.00. I've been here 22 years and never remember a whole day of snowfall. About 7cms lying on the cars and patio, much deeper on the grass.

I have a level drive to work in a 4x4, the rest of the family in normal cars all have to cross the only hill around here. One daughter has already planned to work from home, the other might be begging a lift to work if it looks any worse at 07.00!

Snow depth, around 4 inches, some drifting too and the A149 has about 1 inch of slushy snow, but I think the roads will be okay if they get the snowploughs and gritters in overnight.

Yes, Ippy has quite deep snow despite it being fine snizzly stuff. But it's been constant for about eleven hours.

Goodnight all and stay safe. :)

In the day I would be looking for a pot of gold. Very odd.

Just looked at the garage roof can't believe how well we have done again :-)

What a day...and it's still going!! Had 4 inches plus here, stopped for half an hour at 10.30 but just started up again and with the largest flakes of the day! Fairly heavy too. Amazing scenes!

Indeed, we had more snow in that 30min storm on Tuesday than we've had since 3pm today. Really fine snow, very sparkly snow in the security light. Wonder if we have more to come overnight?
