Seen the gritter about 3 times, I think Oldham Council are on it like a gritter bonnet!! The minor roads are quite hazardous though, should be fun tomorrow morning

Indeed, luckily for me I have nothing to do, not in work until tomorrow night.

@ Fallon, yeah mate, not sure I'm bothered if it gets heavier. It's the best its been so far, so hopefully it will carry on in to tomorrow, it's building up nicely as it is. Woot.

Dandruff falling, will Cumbria see much from this system?

I think you could get 2-5cm

I am on nights this week too, a late night snow watching is ideal preperation for a week of nights.

I really don't understand what's happening. The weather forecasts on TV haven't shown us getting much snow the last 2-3 days and yet we've had the dandruff for most of that time. It's having another go now after the thaw today going from big to small flakes and yet it's not really covering. And still the weather maps don't seem to be showing snow for us but the radar is. I don't know what to expect anymore! wacko.png

Lydgate / Scouthead the best bet for grittario el stuckio activity!

I live in Scouthead, and the main roads appear clear, but the lanes near my house are snowbound

350, 353, 354 will go the snow route (if at all), 184,180 will be severely disrupted, cant see the 184 getting to huddersfield, or certainly not on time anyway, depends on what happens the next few hours, if we carry on getting paggered at the rate we are now then its going to be a struggle IMO.

If this carries on though, i cant see the A62 being problem free, there were problems on April 4th with that!!

The ppn northward track needs to stall now if we are to get something memorable.
