Hello! i'm off to the Algarve in april! I've been a couple of times but never this time of year! I've had a look around and all the sites keep saying avg max 20c but I have visited in december-jan a few years in a row and that seems to be their winter average!? Has anyone been this time of year? I am hoping for strong sunshine and warm/hot temps.

Went first week in May a couple of years ago and it was 27'c+ every day.

Went last month and it was 18'c+ with unbroken sunshine most days.

My wife and I are frequent visitors to Carvoeiro, the Algarve.

April is a very variable month each year for weather there.

One year you could get unbroken sunshine with temps in the 20s - other times it could be high teens and rain or showers.

Hope u get the former.
