Whats your elevation there ? I know Luton Airport a few hundred feet above sea level. Mkaes all the difference in marginal situations like this. we have gone back to largely rain after some wet snow

about 550ft (170m) above sea level makes a massive difference.

I am off to North Carolina in August.. What is their tornado and serve weather like at that time of year?

Best time to go for storm chasing has to be around April/May. I was in Atlanta during one of their worst tornado outbreaks a couple of years ago. Made UK news.
