I guess it does in large cities like brum about 2 c in winter between city centre and suburbs. Sometimes 4c plus between city centre and rural areas. Urban heat island. Which is why it's so very rare to snow in central London.

snow setting on roofs , cars and grass. . could be an interesting night , I thought we would have to wait until 9pm , ut the cold

pool of air seems to be pushing further west than predicted. looks good for all of us.

I think we could get 10 cm of snow by midday tomorrow, and it should stick for most of the week.

Could be an awkward drive to work tomorrow.

It's great to see an increasing number of snow shields surrendering to the snow demons, including Telford's. Just need Leicestershire's, Shrewbury's and any other snow shields holding strong in our region to smash into pieces now.

Some wet snow falling at the moment, but could do with further weakening to the snow shield here to make it dry enough to settle.
