(was tonight going by the tweets)

Looks like the lightning is reflecting on the ocean there

Here it is, I have circle the area of the Channel storm at a stage of active lightning around midnight(going by the detectors), I have placed an arrow pointing to the intense cell.

Looking back on the detectors appears some lightning activity was just inland from the south coast over Kent around 215 hrs although nothing (apart from light ppn)inland on ppn radar over that area around that time.

The satellite shows some cloud over the area and light isolated ppn (showers) must have been isolated elevated cells.

If that MCS had a hole in the center I'd think it was a hurricane

Might not need to go to France after all as the storm that come over here could also be severe

So with that MCS firing up so early will another fire up behind it? or is that one meant to hit us because by the looks of it its moving east/ne.

I love that, though it would have been funnier if you'd just said "I hope this clarifies everything".

Done a map but don't have time now for explaining things but I can say a very interesting weekend of weather for many, the map shows that most are at risk of either heavy rain with thunder, and some thunderstorms which could turn severe. Some storms turning severe particularly to the SE corner some might turn up through areas north and east.

That circled storm is coming right towards SW/Central England with more developing to the W of it. We could be lucky..

Ok thanks... Posted Image

Actually, it seems like we're nearly in the firing line for that 2nd MCS. Hopefully, if more activity develop more into the center of the Bay of Biscay then we're in for a chance.
