    found this on the maplins website looks like a good weather station for a beginner like me

    Most people using this weather station use Cumulus ...Free  download

    I purchased the one that is £59.99...bargain at the moment...By some extra poles at the same time....Don't forget an Ariel mast bracket as well ..Think they have one on the same site...otherwise Amazon will have them...Had mine since February

     

    Just checked bracket...Stand off Bracket same site..£12.99.....

    The temperature shield is barely up to the job and would benefit from an additional home-made enclosure to avoid inaccurate spikes.On some stations, wind seems to have a tendency to read wild spikes too but since they are like 150mph are easily spotted and discarded!Generally good value though unless you live in a very wild, icy and windy place like here where it would do well to last a year out.

    I have had mine for about 3 years now I have had to replace the wind speed sensor but other than that works

    well I bought mine new for £59.99 not a b grade, I still use it today even tho I use a davis vp2 on web site's

    I also use them with cumulus
