My friends were there at the time, they were soaked though! No harm done, just very wet!

That is to waves is what 87 and 91 is to snow!!!!!!  -  a stonker!  only thing up from that would be an event similar to the one in that film 'Deep inpact'

Wow, thanks for that Paul!  Been there a few times, and stayed in the lovely Richmond hotel on the sea front. Ive seen the sea water going over the road, but nothing on that scale!Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image Well at least the Hotels windows had a nice free clean!!

Well they do say worse things happen at sea. I must say I wasn't expecting such an overwhelming swamping for those people....

Saw this yesterday morning and was going to post it, pretty impressive. I have a friend who's house is just back from the sea front (although he's actually doing a term abroad in Finland at the moment)

 

I stayed in one of the hotels along the seafront in March 2012.

 

Often can't beat the coast for dramatic weather scenes at this time of year
