Just seen my first snow flake in just over a year!!

Very very light snow here for last hour. You obviously missed the half an hour on the night of 13-14th :-)

Yep first snow of winter here also, albeit very light and not settling.

A few more flakes falling now, bigger in size as well.

 

The PPN to our south and east looks like it's pepping up and might just swing our way eventually.............perhaps?

I did indeed! I was probably too busy looking at the pictures on my phone from 12 months ago. Anyway, at least this winter I have now seen "snow"!!

-0.4c here so if anything falls it should be snow, at least this morning.

You said it "at least this morning" ...Carol Kirkwood just said.... there is currently light snow, even to lower levels across the Midlands but won't last.

 

But who knows all morning they've been saying " Any showers will be of rain and any winteryness will be just to higher levels " 

 

Light snow this morning so far But one eyes is on the Radar atm...

Its actually snowing quite heavy now in Nottingham, proper flakes not the granule stuff off earlier. Sadly this won't settle

Proper snow here for the last 20 minutes was starting to stick but its eased off a bit now big flakes for a time though glad we didnt have a snowless winter

Snow here in Brum city centre! Coming down nicely not settling of course but makes a nice change from pouring rain. First snow this Winter in fact probably first in over 12 months

So the miracle happened actual snow is falling midlands today said rain forecast here so just shows how finely balanced things are and that nothing is set in stone lets hope for big upgrades on the models now

Theres a gap atm, but looks like theres more heading in from the East, It maybe rain or maybe snow by the time it gets here, Your guess is as good as mine.

Heavy snow here in Newark-on-Trent, radar looks good for the next hour or two. Can't see it sticking, but it's the first snow of the winter so I ain't complaining!

interesting forecast by the met updated at 03.15 they forecasting rain and drisel with slete and snow for the hills. Well here in aston i woke up to snow falling wet snow but snow. At least i've seen snow this crappy atlantic dommated winter.

still no snow in Northampton though.  Worst winter for many years imo.
