So the next storm may not be as bad as yesterdsys..but may cause more damage..trees falling etc because the last storm could of weakened stuff.

Julie I find the centre of Wirral (in a line from say Upton/Gresby/Prenton/Arrowe Park down to say Thorton Hough, tends to be rather cold in this kind of scenario, but the east side (Bebington/Port Sunlight/Wallsey and Brombrough, and the west side; Caldy/Thurstaton/Neston/Heswall tend to be quite mild, probably because they're on a ridge. 

 

Ness Botanic Gardens apparently got sufficient damage to have to close the garden at least for today.

SP - yes I think you are right.  We are on the tip of the peninsula in Wallasey and below sea level so whatever weather you get we can get something totally different but as the crow flies you are only a couple of miles away - crazy isn't it?

Some lightish showers coming in off irish sea, seem to dissipate as they get any further than liverpool and just a few clouds around here....

tomorrow even though this storm won't effect us directly, we could get up to 20mm of rain in parts, along with some strong winds through the Cheshire Plain up through Wirral, up to 50mph for a short time around 3pm
