Morning - or evening back in the UK I guess, we're heading off soon as the last stragglers make it downstairs after an impromptu celebration of the tour so far last night (I fell asleep before it all happened).

Paul will update the chase plans once we get underway as we look to get on the storms later this afternoon, in the meantime it feels very British with some drizzle and temps of 14c.

Guess you'll be playing the warm front later then, best tornado risk in mid-upper Ohio Valley anyhow - particularly as the surface low moves NE from Tennessee/Kentucky later by the looks of things.

If you get as far east as Ohio later, could be the farthest east a Netweather chase has ventured yet?

Yep Nick is right on all of that, it will be the furthest east any tour has ever gone, will be sitting underneath that warm front in Northern Kentucky Indiana or SW Ohio.

Cannot disagree with anything Nick says there, LP Moving North East from Kentucky and hope to grab something under the warm front later.

Wish us luck in chase terrain none of us have ever done before.

Just looking at Google Terrain and it looks like flat and open farmland across much of eastern Indiana and western Ohio, with long straight roads. Only problem with far SW of Ohio is the large metro area of Cincinnati. Northern Kentucky looks like chaser's worst nightmare with wrt to terrain though, all hills and forests!

A couple of friends are flying into CVG Airport late tonight - one of which is quite a nervous flyer! Could be quite a bumpy ride looking at the forecast!
