    July 1999 was a warm month with a CET of 17.7C. It was also a very dry July generally and one of the driest Julys of the 20th Century. There were local variations in rainfall totals due to thunderstorms. Here's some rainfall data for that month

    Rainfall: 70mm (97%)

    Aberdeen

    Rainfall: 48mm (81%)

    Durham

    Rainfall: 12mm (23%)

    Manchester

    Rainfall: 10mm (16%)

    Cambridge

    Rainfall: 25mm (57%)

    RAF Lyneham

    Rainfall: 6mm (11%)

    Heathrow

    Rainfall: 9mm (19%)

    Swansea

    Rainfall: 18mm (25%)

    Belfast

    Rainfall: 39mm (62%)
