University students are being urged to urinate in the shower in a bid to save water.

The Go with the Flow campaign is the brainchild of students Debs Torr and Chris Dobson, from the University of East Anglia (UEA) in Norwich.

They want the university's 15,000 students to take their first wee of the day while having their morning shower.

Mr Dobson, 20, said the idea could "save enough water to fill an Olympic-sized swimming pool 26 times[per year]".

Well if it's their own shower they can wee where they like, but I wouldn't be best pleased if it was a communal shower/shared shower room! Haha.

Well I'm pretty sure most every male has pee'd in the shower? .....can't speak for the lasses as I imagine it to be more messy?..... the fact that it is not a 'dirty' practice will relieve many ( I think?) and further encourage the practice?

For anyone blessed with cleaning the toilet the less male 'stood up' pee's then the less splash back to deal with so a win win there ( money and cleaning)?

Again, before folk rise up to complain, a sterile fluid in an environment of running water is not 'dirty' and saves both money and resources.

I agree with Chris. Whatever you do at home in your private bathroom is your business. You wanna pee in the shower? Fine! Wanna pee in the sink? Fine! Do whatever serves you right. But shared bathrooms. Shared with people you barely know? That's disgusting.
