Last chase day for Tour 1 and as its within 4 hours of Dallas a chase is on. Expecting marginal Supercells with hail the primary threat off the dryline, moisture not abundant until tomorrow (Changeover Day Of Course) but will be looking for some transient Supercell Structures before it craps out into an MCS.

Leaving DFW @ 11am with a target of somewhere between Midland and Odessa!

There's a 50% chance of a few discrete cells forming ahead of the main line/MCS due to form and move into SW TX from 23Z.
Midland looks OK but it if it's a discrete structure you're after then it might be worth holding back around Big Spring/Snyder around 21Z.
The advantage of course is that you can see for miles in that area!

I can't seem to log on Paul! It says that it is offline ( I am sure there has been problems in this area before for some reason)

Also MD issued for teams area but WW unlikely. Pulse type UK storms the most likely!

Edit team are getting closer to this WW area now

Bryan Valdez's view of the storm that the team are heading to. He is approaching from the NW and not to far away from the Texas/New Mexico border.

You can see on the feed quite clearly the new rain/hail shaft that has just developed to the south of the main cell. Also is indicated on latest radar.

Apparently 4" hail on this storm. We're in Coyonosa watching it cycle up and down.

Yh stuck in a flash flood for a while, we saw the Coyonosa touchdown at 642pm which downed power lines across the road. Wild day and at one point were stuck with 20 other chasers with feet of water in front of us and behind. Pictures later are insane!

Tom here

to say today was interesting is an understatement. we could see the large hail. floating past us in a river that we were sat in, which wasnt there earlier. we had no way to go back and a river to driver through ahead of us. staying put was not an option as a sever storm was closing in on us.  cgs pounding down around us. Large hail and even more rain to make the river even deeper. so forward it had to be . the supercell was one of the best this tour. I will post videos when i can  some brilliant footage , hopefully.
