Unable to upload profile pic.

Hi, i have just tried uploading a new profile pic and nothing happens. I also tried syncing it with my Facebook account profile photo too but also nothing happens. Wondered if you could be of any help, thanks.

The uploading of profile photos not working is a known problem with the forum currently I'm afraid, it'll hopefully be resolved soon. The facebook link is working as far as I'm aware though. 

 

Choose the option to sync your photo from here and it ought to be fine:

Is this still not working ?

I have tried to put a JPG avi pic up directly from my comp, and also via

Photobucket and Flickr today without success.

I'm not into Facebook really I'm afraid.

It's not I'm afraid - it's a bug in the software which we're waiting to update. You can upload your photo to the gallery, then choose to have it as your profile picture from there though

Jeepers, me too, again, I mean changing profile photo...  Is there a dummy's guide to this please?

The first thought is perhaps, don't change your profile picture.

 

The second thought is that every technique as to how to get round the known bug is within the help pages already - the search feature is top right of your screen.

There's a forum upgrade in the next couple of months - that will sort it. Meanwhile, seriously, search through the tool top right; people have found ways to make it work.

Seriously, I've just tried searching and come up with no more than what I've just tried.   I changed my photo in August but am failing now.  Amazing how the simplest list task is beyond me. Seriously.  To be honest though, if it's beyond you to do more than say 'try harder', why bother?

The issue is with the software, it has a bug, the planned upgrade will sort it. Meantime, uploading the image to the gallery and choosing it as your profile picture will work, as we've kept advising. Not sure what more you'd like us to offer?

This way still works for me but it seems not for all for some reason, Back in October i posted instructions on how to do this for a fellow regional member.

Hi Paul. Probably not the place to post this, however, I couldn't find anywhere else appropriate. How do you get the small text "Hello" to show above your avatar. Have tried several things but cannot find anywhere to enter this....Many Thanks

Click your name at the top right of the page, then 'profile' and you should see 'edit profile' at the top right of your cover photo, click that and you'll see 'member title' in the basic info settings.

Hello everyone. ? This is my first post on the forum. I know this is an old thread but I too am struggling to change my profile pic. I'm new to the forum so im not familiar with the layout/software. I've tried going to my profile and clicking on the little icon next to my picture but when I click it doesn't let me change the picture, it just brings up an empty box with continue as the only option. Then it only lets me crop my current picture...

 

I have added a screenshot so you can see what I mean.

I'm not sure what the cause of that may be to be honest, as I've not seen it before and can't recreate it. Perhaps try clearing your browser cache and cookies and see if that fixes it ?
