This is a good sign, especially in your location.

Most forecasts have it turning to snow later on but to start off, even when light, is great as evaporative cooling will only help to keep it snow (if heavy).

Annoyingly it is still partly sunny here!

At least I can now see the thicker cloud associated with the precipitation further west.

Was only snowed for about 30 seconds. Needs to get heavier.

The Radar is showing rain on the coast over Southport and Snow (Pink) over Chorley. It is knife edge here.

Light snow again and could get heavier soon looking at the radar, temp sitting at 1.5c.

couple more cm of snow fallen in the last 45 mins added to the frozen 2cm snow left over
